Babies for Sale
The not-so-shocking revelation that tax-funded Planned Parenthood engineers their abortions to preserve tiny baby livers, hearts, lungs and legs so they can sell the organs and limbs must make us think about the larger issues in American life. In case you didn’t see the news yesterday, Planned Parenthood executive Deborah Nucatola has been filmed discussing her abortion technique for harvesting organs from late term babies:
“I’d say a lot of people want liver,” she says in the video posted on the Center for Medical Progress’s Web site, between bites of salad. “And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.”
She continues: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
So here’s the deal: babies in America (and around the world) are for sale. Not only babies, but parts of unborn babies.
Think about it: if you have enough money you can purchase artificial conception technology to get a baby. Are you two lesbians? Get a sperm donor and use artificial insemination. Are you homosexual? Buy an egg. Buy in vitro fertilization technology. Hire a surrogate and rent her womb. Have your egg implanted and wait for your baby. Are you an infertile couple? If you have enough money you can buy a baby too.
Furthermore, yesterday’s news confirms that not only babies, but baby parts are available. Of course it is all masked by language about “donation”. The woman “donates the tissue” but of course she has to receive “compensation” for her trouble, travel expenses, accommodation etc. etc. The firms marketing the “tissue” are not making money of course. No. They are being compensated or re-imbursed for “administrative costs”, “delivery fees” or “professional services”. There is no buying and selling of babies and baby parts. That would be horrible now wouldn’t it?
What are the baby parts used for? Cosmetics. Medical experiments. Don’t tell me. They use the skin to make lampshades too.
The fact of the matter is, we treat babies as commodities to be bought and sold. It is as simple as that.
How did we get to this place and why do so many Americans have no problem with this?
Because most of us have bought into the “baby as a commodity” notion when we bought into artificial contraception.
What is the most common reason people give for using artificial contraception? “We can’t afford another child.” So the child is already being perceived primarily as an economic factor. What do double income successful couples want? They want just two neat and tidy successful children, and they try to determine when and where and how those children will become part of their family.
Like shopping.
“Honey we really need this new sofa it will just finish off our living room and look so good!”
“Honey, we really need a little boy and a little girl so it will finish off our family and look so good!”
See? Children as a commodity. Children as a designer accessory, and if children can be bought then it follows that they can be sold. Continue Reading
