Here’s an article about a husband and wife Pentecostal missionary team from the UK who have been imprisoned in Muslim Gambia. They were accused of sedition for sending emails that criticize the Islamic regime.
Please remember David and Fiona Fulton in your prayers. Pentecostals and Catholics may have their disagreements, but Pentecostal pastor, Richard Wurmbrand, who suffered in Romanian jails during the communist persecutions, speaks of sharing his cell with Catholic and Orthodox priests. “In prison” he said, “we were all brothers in Christ.”
have you heard about Martha Samuel? http://www.aina.org/news/20081219220247.htm

Poor things. When will people learn that you don’t have any rights when you go to Third World counties?
Praying for the Fultons. Dymphna – I disagree with your statement. We do have rights in third world countries. When one is a guest of a country, one must abide by the laws of that country. In an Islamic culture, one is not permitted to promote any religion other than Islam. Having written that, some are called to be missionaries to Islamic cultures. They do know the risks they encounter – – God bless them for following their call – and continued prayers for all who are persecuted because of their faith.
