Is Jerome the patron saint of sarcastic bloggers? I don’t think so. He was too grumpy.
I nominate (on the eve of his Feast Day) St Francis…the jongleur de Dieu…the juggler of God, and since he was the Court Jester to the King of Kings, I nominate The Curt Jester as an honorary Franciscan blogger.
Since we are nominating Holy Fools I declare that because I have absolutely no authority whatsover to make this nomination, I therefore have the highest qualification.
A question to provoke some comments: what other saint was an accomplished juggler and acrobat, and staged his own little circus in order to evangelize the local yokels?
St. John Bosco?
I can’t believe it. I come up with what I think is a cool and obscure piece of saintly trivia and the first guy gets it right.
I once saw a movie on St. Bosco on EWTN that showed his acrobatic capabilities so it just happened to be a piece of trivia I actually knew.
>> Is Jerome the patron saint of sarcastic bloggers? I don’t think so. He was too grumpy.Actually, Dwight, you underestimate the grumpiness of many of us bloggers.Especially us converts.
you’re probably right doogie. Sarcasm is usually fuelled by bitterness.
