Along with everything else I have to do–including working with George for the snazzy blog facelift, I’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on my home chapel. At last it’s done and I can show you these neat pics of myself celebrating Mass this morning for St Patrick.

Red vestments for St Patrick?
they’re a deep shade of purple. The light was bad.
Wow, Father. I did not know that in addition to being priest, convert, preacher, author, owner of nifty ecclesiastical hats and other such sartorial paraphernalia, you’re also an Italian Prince =)Should we address you as Your Highness or just plain Fr. D?
That's a truly beautiful chapel, Father.Among its other salutary effects, celebrating Mass in such a lovely place seems—if I'm seeing the picture aright—to have regrown your hair. (Of course, it's always possible that my eyes are afflicted, rather than your follicles healed.)Peace,–Peter
No I’m still quite bald. It’s a shadow on my head. Andrew, I don’t like to boast. The Italian nobility comes from my mother’s side. She is Signora Ravioli descended from Count Choculata once removed.
Father,Baroque splendor! What a beautiful chapel. Were you celebrating using the Novus Ordo in Latin, or were you using the 1962 missal?Either way, what an incredibly beautiful setting for worship. Regardless of the form of Mass, I am sure that the celebration was enhanced by those kinds of surroundings…Cheers!
Father, stick out your tongue!!My darling grandmother used to say that to us when she thought we might be exaggerating a wee bit. lol
Me thinks Father is telling a whopper, http://orbiscatholicus.blogspot.com/2009/03/mons-angelo-amodeo-in-rome_5943.htmlShame on you ;>) but it is beautiful.
Nice Trompe-l’œil.

It’s too much for me; like the kitsch in Hanesville, AL. “De gustibus non est disputandum” is well said.
ROFL! Thanks!
