I think this is the prelude to financial punishment of religious denominations when/if they refuse to perform same-sex marriages. This is on his agenda.

I’ve written to those who accept email from non-constituents, and my own Senators, both Democrats.I never used to write my reps, but the Presidency of Obama has politicized me in a way I have never been.I forwarded on your blog post, Father. My daughter (who is expecting her first child) asked me not to send her “political” stuff. I replied that abortion is only political insofar as there is legislation in regard to it. Her reply? “Abortion is political.”I don’t understand my daughter…and it makes me sick at heart.

One other thing: I became pregnant with her outside of marriage. Abortion was legal, and I could have murdered her – if I had those sort of convictions. She doesn’t know that her father asked me if I’d consider an abortion. When I said no, the case was closed. He respected my beliefs, we married, and went on to have four more children, and (currently)four grandchildren.

actually, Catholics still might be protected under the civil rights act of 1964…the problem is that the pro aborts now call the abortion pill “contraception” and are objecting to those who won’t give it out (including a lot of pharmacists). If they win that one, the next agenda is giving out euthanasia pills.

It allows those individuals to conduct their medical work without being forced into any conduct that would contradict their faith views. To repeal this clause and force individuals as well as medical organizations to conduct acts against their religious beliefs or corporate mission statements is discrimination. There are sufficient providers of abortion and sterilization services across the country, even in rural areas; it is clearly not necessary to force medical professionals and organizations to conduct these services. This clause has been in effect for over 30 years without causing any undue hardship to the American people. Therefore, there is no sound, need-based reason for rescinding this clause. The reason can only be discrimination against people of faith. In rescinding this clause, our government is potentially ruining our entire health care system simply for the purpose of making abortion mandatory (note, it is already easily available). Even citizens with no particular faith belief can see how their overall health care will be adversely affected by this action. This defies all logic and so can only be hate based. It is important that every American, whether or not of any faith belief, stand up and insist this clause remain in effect for the continued quality healthcare of all American citizens IN ALL FIELDS OF MEDICINE.
