It’s strange that those vestments had such traditional cut but very untraditional loud colors and patterns.The fashion show I’d like to see is *proper* vestments– and the people who like that kind of thing would probably never put on a fashion show.

I guess once you have given up all the essentials of the faith the only thing left are the externals (just so long as they are NOT too traditional!)
One other thought occurs to me. Nero fiddled while Rome burnt – these excuses for clergy are holding fashion shows while their church disintegrates around them – how appropriate!
