A ruling from the Church of England encourages teachers in Church of England schools to embrace the transgender agenda.
This article from London’s Daily Telegraph reports the news.
Primary school boys should be allowed to wear tutus and high heels if they want to, the Church of England has said in its first guidance for teachers on transgender issues.
Children should not be restricted by their gender when dressing up, and girls should be able to wear a tool belt and fireman’s helmet if they choose, the document says.
The guidance for teachers in Church of England schools, endorsed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, says that children “should be at liberty to explore the possibilities of who they might be without judgement or derision”.
But of course the Church of England would go down this route. In 1992 they voted to allow women to be ordained as priests.
Am I the only one who is connecting the dots here?
A friend of mine who was a Church of England vicar for many years told me that in the Church of England vicarages now you can find virtually any permutation of marriage that you now find in society.
You will find vicarages and Bishops palaces where the incumbent is divorced and remarried or married to a divorced person. Single mothers who are vicars, gay vicars who are “married” to their boyfriend, male vicars who have switched and are now female vicars. Female vicars who have switched and are now male vicars, lesbians shacked up in the vicarage with their girlfriend or “wife” and every other possible permutation.
When the Church of England decided to ordain women as priests they were not just establishing equal rights or being up to date. They were demolishing the age old iconography of the complementary relationship between male and female which existed within Christian marriage and which also existed in the parish with the tradition of male only priesthood.
With the disintegration of male only priesthood in the Church of England the traditional values of marriage, human sexuality and the family were also undermined.
Now the Church of England embraces the transgender agenda. This makes perfect sense.
When a church demolished clear gender roles in demolishing the male only priesthood this is the logical outcome. If you decide to ordain women as priests and thus mix it all up, don’t be surprised when your children and grandchildren are uncertain what a man is or what a woman is.
Read my article: Twelve Causes of Gender Confusion.
Fr. Longenecker,
I’m commenting here on your other article on 12 reasons for “gender” confusion.
First of all, after reading that, I personally believe you are a better psychologist than psychologists out there. And they are “out there”. They add confusion and I would make them a 13th reason. They, themselves need a shrink. A 14th reason would be the fact that parents don’t talk to their kids when going through puberty. It’s a very distressing time when your body is changing and you have no idea why.
Every psychologist needs to read your reasons because the world’s reasons are unreasonable and insane.
The only thing I have a beef with and I’ve read a bunch of articles with the same, what I call, Orwellian speak. I grew up with the fact that there are two sexes not “genders”. Gender should only refer to words or inanimate objects and not to people. The title should not be “gender confusion” but “sexual confusion”.
Maybe I’m being a little unforgiving here, but in using “gender” in this connotation seems to make the enemy winning in changing the meaning of words. I have a sex and not a gender. My two cents. And maybe that’s all they are worth.
Btw, it was great watching you on EWTN recently.
Happy Thanksgiving and God bless.
Thanks for the kind words. Good point about “gender”, but I was using the language of the present debate for ease of purpose

Again Father, your “12 causes” is why I have taken to reading you. Most of us know something is either right or wrong BUT lack the ability to express WHY. Or express why we must maintain good order in our lives in ways that encourage others and not needlessly alienate them.
We had to learn so much growing up and to get and keep our jobs that we learned incompletely and have forgotten or never considered how it should all come together. And we always are tempted to take the easier path.
So, reading you is like a good meal – necessary to maintain and build our strength of character so we can properly serve others in accordance with God’s Will for us.
I want to share this video and how important it is to use the right words. This justifies what I mentioned about the use of “gender” as Orwellian speak.

It was created up and if Catholics fall for it because “everyone else is doing it” then we are failing as Catholics.
We are to be salt of the earth. But if the salt loses it flavor then what good is it other than to be thrown away and trampled on.
I do pray that the Catholic media would stop buying into the current grammatical lies.
God bless.
