There has been some discussion in the very fine journal, We Faithful Few about a group of people called “Neo Catholics.” This term has been coined to identify a group of people who pretend to be conservative Catholics, but who are, in fact, undercover Protestant infiltrators of the true Catholic faith. There is evidence to suggest that when they “cross themselves” they do so with their fingers crossed, and this is the secret sign that they are not true converts to the Catholic faith, but insidious spies disguising themselves as Catholics in order to destroy our blessed traditions from within.

The “neo Catholics” often appear to be very well informed about the Catholic faith, but the Catholic religion they present is their own version. Many of them maintain web logs or “blogs” where they dis seminate their false religion. Some have radio shows on the liberal EWTN network. Many have written books and all of them have a dramatic “conversion story” to tell. What is most disgusting about these impostors is that they not only undermine and destroy the traditions of the Catholic faith from within, but they get paid for it.

The money grubbing neo-Catholics accept payment for writing their books. They accept payment for their speaking engagements. They take money for blogging and grab more loot by selling books, children’s literature and recordings that can be played on electronic listening devices. These professional Catholics are hypocrites, quoting the verse from sacred Scripture “The laborer is worthy of his hire” while ignoring the commandments of the Lord that his disciples should go out with nothing but the clothes on their back and nothing in their purse.

I usually refrain from naming names in this column as I do not wish to appear to be judgmental. However, among the crowd of neo-Catholics one stands out more than any other and that is Mr G.K.Chesterton. Mr Chesterton is a corpulent “Catholic” writer from Seattle, Washington. He unashamedly takes money for his writing saying that he “needs to support his family.” Mr. Chesterton is a prolific author and controversialist who pretended to become a Catholic in order to advance his writing career. On his blog, disarmingly named “Happy to be Catholic” Chesterton regularly defends Mr Bergoglio the present “Pope of Rome” and even says he thinks the present homosexualist hand kissing pope is “wonderful.” I must join my voice with my friends at We Faithful Few  who condemn Mr Chesterton.

Mr Chesterton, like the rest of the neo Catholics, is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. In order to illuminate the faithful we must not mince words. They are snakes. Not only do they write and speak night and day defending the post conciliar “Vatican Two” Church of Bergoglio, Ratzinger and Wotyla, but they do so with a false cheerfulness and confidence. Very often they will use charming techniques like “humor”. (This is a technique in which they encourage people to laugh by telling jokes.) I would like to take a moment to refer you to a pamphlet written by Our Archprimate, The Most Rt. Rev’d. and Blessed Major (ret’d) Donald Rickles entitled Laughter is NOT the Best Medicine. This article exposes the dangers of laughter and shows how all the forms of humor lead to frivolity and sin and ultimately to hell itself.

We know that the most obvious enemies of the true faith are the liberals. The homosexualists, feminists, communists and negroes are allied with the Jews, Freemasons, Mormons, the manufacturers of Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream and the Hollywood-Silicon Valley technological complex. The neo-Catholics, however, are more dangerous than all of them put together because they appear to be conservative. Do not be deceived. Their seemingly sweet and harmless exterior disguises the truly insidious nature of their plot against the true faith.

I am sorry to say that some of the neo-Catholic writers are women. Neglecting their husband and children, they sit at their computers all day (wearing trousers) and write web log posts explaining and defending Catholicism for money. When they should be home schooling their children, cooking dinner and tending their vegetable patch they engage in a form of online gossip all the time undermining the faith and getting paid for it!  I am reminded of the iniquitous film The Sound of Music in which a seemingly delightful nun enchants a family with music. In fact the woman is a harlot in disguise. She is late for prayers, she eventually forsakes her religious vocation, seduces a godly widower and leads his children down the path of destruction while singing happy songs. She is a typical example of “religion as entertainment” along with clown masses, puppets and women priests. This is what the neo Catholics are like. Beware.

We at the Sacred Society of St Philibustre repudiate the post conciliar “Vatican 2” Catholics. We also distance ourselves from the neo-conservative “Bishop” Williamson of the SSPX and other modernists who call themselves Traditionalists but celebrate and promote the modern Latin Mass of the “Council” of Trent.

We are not sedevacantists, but we do believe that the Argentinian who presents himself as the pope is not the true successor of Peter. Our own Pope Linus, who resides in Bishop’s Stortford in England is Pope for he is the one who, with us, upholds the Western Ambrosianic Rite (non-Collegian) and the wearing of the be-ribboned maniple.
