Here is a new word for some readers of Fr.Z’s blog:
Badinage
bad⋅i⋅nage [bad-n-ahzh, bad-n-ij]
noun, verb, -naged, -nag⋅ing.
–noun
1. light, playful banter or raillery.
–verb (used with object)
2. to banter with or tease (someone) playfully.
For any who were worried about it, be of good cheer.
Fr.Z and I are blogosphere buddies. We’re just joshing. We don’t mean disrespect to each other, or to clerical clothing.
I have always liked this word! English is such a great language!
Let the Banter continue, I find it greatly entertaining!
Like I said on Fr. Z’s….it’s must-see blogee!Better than any sitcom; you’ve both got everyone laughing!
Oh rats! 🙂
But, but, but – you guys can still have a duel, can’t you??
Yes, please do still duel! You wouldn’t happen to be a KoC, too?;)
I suspected as much, and I almost asked you…But I’m with +JMJ+…it’s way better than anything on TV!Bless you both.
I’ve noted on Fr. Z’s blog you’ve ventured into that hostile territory on more than one occasion. He, on the other hand, has yet to comment here. At the rate this thing is going, we’ll soon have the blogoshpere’s Great Schism. Then to whom should the clueless but faithful turn? Will it all be decided on possession of some arcane priestly garment? Shall we wander long in the wilderness, not knowing whom to look as our shepherd? Sorry, been reading too much cheap fiction lately.
Found a picture of you and Fr. Z chatting over at Owl of the Remove.
